Recently the inspirational Marcelo Vignali invited me to come sketch with him and his cadre of friendly and talented artist friends at their lunchtime Sketch Club. They usually meet at a restaurant or other public place and draw the (sometimes) unsuspecting people surrounding them. I've been able to make it a few times now and enjoy the conversation, trading art tips, and the opportunity to draw from life again - it has been far too long! Here are some of the results.

Nice stuff, I like your soft handed approach with the pencil.
Thanks, Kendra. I was intentionally trying for a looser, "softer" touch partly to get out of my natural comfort zone...and partly because wax crayons and vellum were the only media I had with me that day!
Ah, that's what it is, very cool!
